Where to stay in Split

What we love about Split
Trip Planning & Local Teams Specialist
I love Split, not only because I was born there and have many nice memories, but because I find it Croatia's most unique city, and a place with real soul. Unique for its temperament, atmosphere, energy, and sense of humor. Split is a pretty compact town, so within the short walking distance of its core - impressive Diocletian's Palace - you can find the forested Marjan Hill park, many beaches, and enjoy easy access to many Dalmatian islands. You can find pretty much anything in Split.
Senior Trip Planner
What I love most about Split is that it's a city that has it all. A long and interesting history, ancient monuments, a small city centre built in a traditional stone style, but at the same time, the advantages of a big city - easily accessible transportation to anywhere, great shopping places, night clubs, and markets. Want a beach day? The beach is ten minutes away. Want a hiking/biking nature day? Marjan Hill is around the corner. Most of all, I love the city atmosphere and the relaxed way of life; the most used words here are "take it slow" and "no problem."
Team Leader for Greece & Turkey
Split's hustle and bustle give it a true charm. Everything is loud, and the people are always friendly and smiling. Getting lost in the 'ghetto' as the locals like to call the center, is the best way to explore the town. Have a walk up to Marjan Hill for some amazing views, and treat yourself with a cold beer on Matejuska Pier while watching the sunset.
