It is a must-visit spot for anyone wanting to soak up the city's authentic vibe. And then there's the secret garden M'arden – a hidden gem nestled within the ancient city walls. As the night falls, the garden transforms into a magical retreat, making it a perfect spot for those seeking a peaceful and enchanting experience. 2 Nights in Split
2 Nights in Split

2 Nights in Split
The Roman Emperor Diocletian made Split his home in the 4th Century AD, building a vast palace complex on the waterfront that stands to this day. In fact several of the accommodation options we offer in Split are nestled inside its ancient walls. These days there is an embankment in front of Diocletian's palace but the water used to go right up to the main wall. It's on this man-made strip of land that you'll find the Riva, a pedestrian promenade bustling with life. Split's UNESCO listed Old Town is contained within these old walls and is a pedestrian-only maze that it is quite easy, but fun, to get lost in. Who know what romantic hidden cafés you might find in one of the narrow streets and alleyways? To get the best out of your time in Split, however, we recommend taking a tour with a local guide. Split is very well connected for flights, with an international airport a half hour drive away and is a popular stopping point for our guests on their way between Dubrovnik and the islands of Hvar, Vis, or Korcula, all easily reached by a ferry from Split's port. If you base yourself in Split for a few days, you will find it is also perfect located for visits to some of Croatia's most stunning national parks.

Day 7
Day 7 - Your First Full Day in Split

Split Private Walking Tour
With a professional tour guide, you will be led through the UNESCO-listed 1,700-year-old Diocletian's Palace, imagining what the life of Diocletian was like within the walls of his palace. During the tour, you will see the Cathedral of St. Duje, one of the most beautiful cultural wonders on the Adriatic coast, as well as the ancient cellars, and Peristil in the center of the palace, the famous Golden Gate, and the hulking statue of Bishop Grgur Ninski. This is an excellent way to get to know Split and its fascinating history.
Hike Around Marjan
A short walk from Split's Old Town along the Riva promenade, Marjan Hill is a natural treat. When the sun shines, we recommend visiting for a quiet break, immersing yourself in the scents of pine and the sea. Covering the peninsula just west of Split's historic core, this forested park has many scenic viewpoints and paths. Amidst the trees and vistas are historic areas, such as a Jewish graveyard with over 700 gravestones. Be sure to check out the hill's views of the city, and the mountains and islands looming beyond. At the hill’s edge, you can find hidden beaches popular with locals. If you’re looking to focus on the beaches, we recommend renting a bike, and biking along the coast and through the forest, although you can also kayak between them, with a rental from one of the larger beaches, or as part of a four-hour group tour that we offer.
Day 8
Day 8 - Traveling to Plitvice by Rental Car
An automatic rental car will be delivered for your use for the remainder of your trip. We can also arrange for a GPS to be provided at an additional fee. After you have your car, you are off to discover Plitvice National Park. If you're planning to explore the park the following morning and want to fill the day there are plenty of potential stops, only a little off the route. Nature lovers will want to stop at the Krka National Park to see the stunning lakes and waterfalls, followed by lunch at Skradin on a picturesque inland bay. If you like wine, we can arrange for a special tasting at the renowned Bibich winery in the hills above Skradin, which is suddenly famous since Anthony Bourdain paid the place a visit. In Sibenik, you can visit the interesting UNESCO-listed Cathedral of St. James and then enjoy lunch at the excellent Pelegrini wine tavern next door. Entrance fees to the national park must be booked online at least two days in advance.

1 Night in Plitvice
The Plitvice Lakes are one of the most beautiful natural settings in Croatia. The national park has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979 and it’s easy to see why. You’ll find 16 lakes here in a stunning array of colors. Surrounding the lakes for 200 miles, the park has numerous hiking trails and plenty of places to appreciate the scenery. The lakes and waterfalls themselves stretch across five miles. This is nature at its most untouched!

Day 8
Day 8 - Arrival in Plitvice
If you have time, why not stop to explore the inviting town of Trogir. After a short exploration, continue on your way to Plitvice, and we'll advise you on the best way to reach your accommodation.

Explore Plitvice Lakes
Stunningly gorgeous is the only way to describe Plitvice, Croatia's first national park. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, thanks to its "outstanding national beauty," the park's most famous features are water-based: naturally occurring lakes and waterfalls discoverable via the pathways and walking trails throughout the forested park. The colors of the lakes range from azure to turquoise, and the many hues in between are based on the mineral content and angle of the sun. While it's easy enough to explore on your own by following marked trails, we can easily arrange for a private guide to show you around the very best bits, especially if you're looking to get the most out of your time in the park.
Day 9
Day 9 - Traveling to Rovinj by Rental Car
Depending on whether you've seen enough of Pltivice, you can either depart for Rovinj in the morning or spend some time exploring the park and head out mid-afternoon. Along the way, be sure to stop in the picturesque seaside resort of Opatija, once the retreat of Habsburg-era nobility. You'll want to stroll along the famous boardwalk and perhaps enjoy a nice lunch followed by a drive along the breathtaking Kvarner Bay. Duration of the direst drive to Rovinj is about 3,5 hours.

3 Nights in Rovinj
3 Nights in Rovinj

3 Nights in Rovinj
Rovinj used to go by Rovigno, and to Italian-speakers it still does. This city was once part of the Republic of Venice, which is evident from the street names in Italian to the Venetian architectural flourishes, such as the bell tower that crowns the town. This laid-back spot has a full cultural calendar, with numerous festivals taking place in the warmer months. We’ll help you get to know the local culture, with possible activities like a local wine tasting, a fish cooking masterclass with a local chef, or a truffle hunting adventure in nearby Croatia. Then, to work up an appetite for your next delicious meal, you could rent bikes and cruise through the breathtaking Zlatni Rt Park. You’ll definitely want to visit the local market too. History buffs will love visiting the local cultural heritage museum, which gives great insight into the region. When you’re ready to get in the car, a day trip to Pula is always fun. This busy port town hosts a large market packed with delectable local specialities, and also boasts a Roman amphitheater. You could even arrange a full-day private tour through the gorgeous region of Istria, where more delights await you inland.

Day 10
Day 10 - Your First Full Day in Rovinj

Rovinj Private Walking Tour
This morning you’ll be getting the lay of the land in Rovinj on a 1 hour and 45 minutes private walking tour led by a local guide who knows all the ins and outs of the place. You’ll see all the main attractions including the St. Euphemia Church, the town clock, and Balbi’s Arch. The church is a stunning example of Baroque architecture and dominates Rovinj’s Old Town, as it is sits atop its hill. Inside you’ll see the preserved body of St. Euphemia from the 6th century. This tour will introduce you to the rich history of Rovinj and all of Istria, as well as Italy’s influence on the region.
Istrian Self-Drive Tour
If you have traveled to Rovinj in a rental car, a self-driving tour of the surrounding region of Istria is an excellent way to spend a day. This is a place of romance and myth that is often compared with Tuscany. From the hills to the coasts you can see the best of the region on a pleasant drive, and also taste some of the local cuisine. The stops we recommend most are Pula, with its ancient Roman amphitheater, and the hill towns of Motovun and Groznjan. All three spots have a charm of their own and really show off the best of the region's architecture, landscape, and cuisine.

Day 11
Day 11 - Your Second Full Day in Rovinj
Bike the Golden Cape
Today’s a good day for a bike ride, don’t you think? We suggest exploring “Zlatni Rt,” also known as the "Golden Cape Forest Park," which is closed to motor vehicles. About less than a mile from the center of Rovinj, the park is easy to get to, and you can rent your bikes in town and ride there. You’ll be in for a scenic ride through gorgeous scenery. The main road goes directly through the park, and there are beaches to visit on the other side of the thick woods. Keep an eye out for the local flora and fauna. In the summer there are numerous restaurants in the park where you can stop for a drink or something to eat. Ask at your hotel for rental advice: some hotels have free bike rental for guests, or discounts with rental places.

Discover Brijuni National Park
Today we suggest a visit to Brijuni National park, one of the most stunning in Croatia! Brijuni National Park consists of 14 islands and islets located on the western coast of Istria. From Rovinj centre there is about 30 minute drive to Fazana where you can easily take a 15 minutes boat ride to Brijuni. Visit Veliki Brijun amazing safari park where you can find some exotic Asian, African and South America animals running freely or check out more than 200 dinosaur footprints which have been discovered on the islands. You can also take an opportunity and swim, dive or just enjoy the sun and a perfect Mediterranean climate.

Day 12
Day 12 - Traveling to Venice by Private Transfer
Today you are off to Venice. We will arrange for a private driver to pick you up from your accommodations and take you there on a scenic coastal drive. The duration of the journey is about 3.5 hours. Since you’ll be crossing a border on your way, your journey can take a bit longer, depending on border crossing waiting time.
Please note that this is a non guided transfer with a local English-speaking driver.

Venice is a legendary city with a charm and atmosphere all its own. The city was constructed on more than 100 islands connected by a series of canals, most of which are lined with gorgeous palaces, beautiful churches, and all sorts of impressive architecture. While the city isn’t huge, it is packed with pedestrian-only streets and quaint, winding alleys that will keep you exploring for days. The city is very popular with tourists year-round, so you certainly won’t be the only travelers walking through the streets with camera in hand. This being Italy, the cuisine in Venice is delicious, and we can especially recommend the Cicchetti of Venice tour. Cicchetti are Venetian tapas, and this tour will introduce you to some of the city’s most iconic eateries and its most delicious recipes. If it’s your first time in Venice, we can organize a tour to show you all the most important sites. And since no trip to the city of canals is complete without a boat ride, we offer a number of ways for you to get a new point of view of the city and its magnificent architecture.
