Custom tour packagesBurgas

Located at the westernmost edge of the Black Sea, the bourgeoning burg of Burgas offers plentiful beaches and parks. The Sea Garden, an extensive centerpiece of a park, runs alongside the city's main beach. Despite being sacked many times of the centuries, Burgas' prime location and busy port has kept it thriving, and helped it become Bulgaria's fourth largest city.

The Second City of the Bulgarian Riviera

Situated between several lakes and the sea, and with Bulgaria's one populated island just offshore, it doesn't take long to trade Burgas' bustling center for natural beauty. Nearby Nessebar makes for an ideal day trip, with its UNESCO-listed cobblestone streets, charming wooden homes, and ancient waterfront.

From our team

What we love about Burgas

I like Burgas' Sea Gardens, the country's second largest seaside park, as well as the views from the Teresata and Sea Casino. I like to enjoy a coffee at Troykata Square, admiring the surroundings, then walking down the "Largo," the nickname for Alexandrovska Street and Aleko Bogoridi Boulevard, which serve as Burgas' pedestrian main street.

Frequently Asked Questionsabout Travel to Burgas

How long should I stay in Burgas?
We recommend one full day in Burgas. This is a good place if you want to relax, by the beach and at the seaside "Sea Garden" park. Optionally, you can enjoy a day trip to nearby Nessebar, a gorgeous UNESCO-listed peninsular town, sporting beautiful 19th century architecture, and fortifications dating back to the Middle Ages and beyond.
What are Burgas' must-see sights?
Burgas is mostly about its nice sandy beach and seaside "Sea Gardens" park. Still, you will surely enjoy a walk on the Largo. This pedestrian area full of shops, cafes, and interesting architecture consists of Alexandrovska Street, Troykata Square and Aleko Bogoridi Street. Stop along the way at the Saint Cyril and Methodius church, Archeological Museum, or Sea Casino.
