Josipa comes to us with a strong background in the tourism business in Dubrovnik. With us, she returned to one of her favorite roles, direct contact with guests, after several years in sales roles with one of Dubrovnik's larger high-end hotels. Although Josipa was not born in Dubrovnik, she finished her studies and started her family life here and she feels Dubrovnik to be her hometown. She knows the best places in the city and the surrounding countryside, which she loves visiting with her family. What's the best place you've ever visited and why?

My trip to Warsaw is so far my best experience, because it exceeded my expectations in many ways. It’s not a city that will knock you down at a glance, but once I allowed myself to feel the spirit of the Polish people and to see all the colors and amazing gastronomy it made the best memories of my life. It’s just the way I felt while I was there.

What was the most exotic dining or cultural experience you've had when traveling?

The best dish I can think of now is mushroom and bacon and egg soup in a bread bowl. I ate it in Warsaw and it tasted so good!

Best advice for travelers to Europe?

Come to Dubrovnik, my hometown!

What were your reasons for choosing to work in travel? And what value do you see in it?

In travel, there is a spark that never fades. There is so much excitement and positivity, it brings back the feeling of infinite happiness like the one you had in your childhood. Passing on that privilege in my work is my largest success, after my family. And the feeling I get when I make other people happy is irreplaceable.
