This 6-day itinerary is the ideal introduction to Sardinia, and a great starting point, if you'd like to add on one or two days in other destinations in Sardinia or Italy. You'll see the two fundamental elements of Sardinia - the coast and the interior. Your days will be spent sailing in the crystalline waters, visiting wineries, and exploring traditional villages.

Day 1 - Arrival in Costa Smeralda
After you land at Olbia Costa Smeralda airport you will be met in the arrivals hall by a driver holding a sign with your name on. The journey to your accommodation in Porto Cervo should take around one hour.

Today you will leave Costa Smeralda and travel to your accommodation nested on the scenic hills of the verdant Sardinian interior. A driver will pick you up at your accommodation based on your preferred departure time and take you on a 1 to 2-hour journey, depending on the location of your chosen accommodation. Please note this is a non guided transfer.

The lively local tradition of "Tenores" chant-like singing, has earned a well-deserved place on the UNESCO Intangible World Heritage list. Its origins date back to time immemorial, when shepherds far from home in winter would gather around a fire and sing. If you miss hearing a live performance, you can listen to historic renditions at the Museo multimediale del Canto a Tenores in Bitti.

Day 5 - Your First Full Day in Inland Sardinia
The Barbagia Experience, Mamoiada & Orgosolo Private Tour
Barbagia is the heart of Sardinia. A whole day dedicated to the heritage and culinary & wine traditions of two among the most popular towns in Sardinia: Orgosolo and Mamoiada in Barbagia. The EU excellence Mediterranean Masks Museum, as well as the many family-owned Cannonau wineries in Mamoiada, will definitely be part of our tour. Then, let us feast our eyes on Orgosolo and its murals, an icon of contemporary Sardinia.
The Barbagia Experience tour departs from Cagliari or other destination requested and include the visit at the museum masks, the visit at the wine cellar with the food&wine experience, the walking tour in the village of Orgosolo between the murals and the old historic center. One of the best museum networks that will give you a deeper insight into Sardinia’s rural life, from trades to traditions, is the MaMu – Mamoiada Museums network, which includes three museums: the Museum of the Mediterranean Masks, the Museum of Local Culture and Trades and the MATer – Museum of Archaeology and of the surrounding Territory.
