1. Day 1 Arrival in Barcelona

   Barcelona is a city with a big historic legacy. Its origins can be traced back to the 1st-century BC when it became the Roman colony of Barciro. Today Antoni Gaudí’s Modernist architecture has become the main attraction for visitors from all over the world. Barcelona has two UNESCO listings covering nine buildings. Seven of them are by Gaudi! Despite its age, a youthful, energetic city vibe can be felt in all Barcelona’s quarters. Embrace your hidden love of Gothic aesthetics followed by Catalan cuisine with a private chef and finish your evening with a ramble on La Rambla, the heart of social Barcelona. So whether you feel like a picnic overlooking the beach-fronted La Estrella Herida, a private tapas tour throughout the city, or a stroll through the Gaudi-inspired Park Güell, there is something for everyone!

   We'll arrange for a driver to meet you at Barcelona's airport and take you to your centrally located accommodation. The duration of the transfer is about 30 minutes.

   Our representative will then meet with you to answer any questions you have and to get you settled for the rest of your trip.

   

   Ramble on La Rambla

   Embrace the authentic Catalan spirit with an evening stroll along La Rambla on your first night in Barcelona. Spanning nearly a mile, this historic street is the sole avenue in the old part of the city, running parallel to the historic city wall. Unlike the bustling downtown, La Rambla offers a broad and spacious expanse, serving as an ideal meeting place for both locals and visitors alike. 2. Day 2 Your First Full Day in Barcelona

   Sagrada Familia Is Not Barcelona’s Only Church

   While Sagrada Familia finally received its consecration from Pope Benedict in 2010, Barcelona boasts more than just this iconic church. Locals often favor Santa Maria del Mar as their top place of worship. Despite enduring a significant earthquake in 1428 and a devastating 11-day fire in July 1936, evident in the lingering scorch marks, the church stands resilient. With towering columns set 43 feet apart and expansive stained glass windows, the interior creates a celestial ambiance. Barcelona Cathedral offers another unique encounter, reflecting centuries of history with Nordic-inspired elements dating back to the 11th century and recent reconstructions using the original Montserrat stone. Explore the cloister with 13 contented geese and the crypt dedicated to the 13-year-old martyr Eulàlia. For stunning views of the Old City, it's worth paying the small fee to take the lift to the cathedral's roof.

3. Day 3 Your Second Full Day in Barcelona

   

   Costa Brava and Medieval Girona Small Group Tour

4. Day 4 Traveling to Nice by Airplane / Arrival in Nice

   Bid "adéu" to Barcelona. Today a short flight will take to you Nice on France's Cote d'Azur. We will arrange for a driver to transfer you to Barcelona airport in plenty of time to check in comfortably for your flight. Non-refundable tickets on a low-cost carrier, with checked luggage, are included in your package.

   We'll arrange for a driver to meet you at Nice Airport and take you to your centrally located accommodation. The drive will take no longer than 20 minutes.

   

   Spending Quality Beach Time in Nice

   The famed Promenade des Anglais is home to 20 public and 15 private beaches, providing a haven for beachgoers with access to restaurants, water sports, and beach clubs complete with sunbeds and umbrellas. For an indulgent experience, explore Nice's private beaches, available only from April to October. Standout beach destinations in Nice include La Reserve, Coco Beach, Opéra Plage, Castel Plage, Beau Rivage, Blue Beach, Ruhl Plage, and Le Galet.

7. Day 7 Traveling to Sorrento by Airplane / Arrival in Sorrento

   Say "au revoir" to France. Today you're headed to the tip of the Sorrentine peninusula on the Bay of Naples. We'll arrange for a driver to transfer you to Nice International Airport for your direct flight to Naples, the closest airport to Sorrento, on a low-cost carrier. We'll include non0refundable tickets and checked luggage allowance. For an extra fee we can book a flexible fare for you.

   The genteel resort town of Sorrento on the southern end of the Bay of Naples is clearly designed for comfort. Complete with a solid portfolio of three to five star hotels, plenty of restaurants and gelaterias it's a typical slice of the Italian riviera. It makes for an easily accessible and affordable base for boat trips to Capri, a visit to Naples, Pompeii and Vesuvius or a jaunt to the other side of the Sorrentine peninsula to the Amalfi Coast. In Sorrento itself you'll enjoy all the advantages of a small town with a sizeable year-round population and a cosy Centro Storico packed with bars, antique shops, churches and grand old palazzos.

   Upon landing at the Naples Airport, our driver will pick you up and take you directly to your accommodation in Sorrento. The drive should take about 1 hour.

   

   Indulge alla Sorrentino

   Even though limoncello is the most famous product in this area, there are many other foods and specialties to try in Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast. Some of the most famous are Provolone del Monaco di Sorrento, a sort of semi-hard cow's milk cheese that has a smooth texture and mild smoky flavor, which goes great with local wine. The tomatoes here are also very special. There are many different varieties, and each is rich in flavor. They all taste excellent when they are sliced thick and topped with extra virgin olive oil, basil, and a dash of salt for a perfect bruschetta. Of course, the list wouldn't be complete without mozzarella! There are many places to try this famous cheese, but our favorite is the Caseificio Apreda Francesco, a traditional producer with many delicious varieties.

8. Day 8 Your First Full Day in Sorrento

   

   Amazing Amalfi

   Today's excursion offers you the opportunity to experience the Amalfi Coast like never before. This unique group boat tour will likely be the highlight of your time in Italy. After being picked up and taken to the harbor, you will meet your skipper and begin sailing towards the Amalfi Coast, enjoying the soothing breeze of the Mediterranean Sea. Along this renowned coast, you will visit stunning beaches and inlets such as the Li Galli Islands and Furore Fjord. You'll have the pleasure of exploring Positano at your leisure and making a stop in Amalfi to visit its historic center. Throughout the boat ride, you'll marvel at famous sights like Laurito, Fornillo, Crapolla, Recommone, and Arienzo. The tour concludes upon your return to the harbor.

9. Day 9 Your Second Full Day in Sorrento

   Soak up the Capri Sun

   There are several ferries which go to and from the island of Capri every day, making a visit to this famous island an easy self-guided day trip. Once you arrive there, you could take one of the typical convertible taxis or ride the funicular to visit the town of Capri for some shopping. The quieter town of Anacapri is more suitable if you're looking for a laid-back and authentic atmosphere. From both spots you can admire the incredible views from the island of the Bay of Naples and the Amalfi Coast and take plenty of Instagram-worthy photos. Another popular option is to enjoy Capri by boat to see the most incredible sites, including the famous Blue Grotto.

   Capri & Anacapri Group Tour

   Don't miss the opportunity to explore the best of the beautiful island of Capri. Meet your guide and group in Marina Piccola in Sorrento and depart for a pleasant boat ride to Capri. During the crossing, the breathtaking sight of the Sorrento Coast will unfold before your eyes. When you land in Capri you'll hop aboard a minibus for a guided tour of the island. You'll stop at Anacapri to visit the Villa St. Michele, built by the Swedish doctor and writer Axel Munthe on the remains of Roman ruins. The area offers a wonderful view of the island from its beautiful shady garden. Next you'll go from Anacapri to Capri by private minibus. After lunch you can visit the Garden of Augustus, which has a wonderful view of the famous “Faraglioni.” The main square here, Piazza Umberto I, has a pretty white church and several open-air cafes where you can sit and watch the world drift by. You'll have plenty of free time for shopping in the elegant and exclusive island boutiques before heading back to your accommodation.

10. Day 10 Departure Day

    It's time to say a teary arrivederci to Sorrento. We will arrange for a driver to pick you up from your accommodation and take you to Naples airport for your departing flight.
